Is Victory of the Daleks the first Doctor Who remake?
The plot to the forthcoming Victory of the Daleks sounds a lot like the the plot to the 1966 lost classic Power of the Daleks.
[possible spoliers]
Power of the Daleks takes place on a human colony in the future. A scientist uncovers dormant Daleks in a crashed saucer. He re-activates one who promises to be a loyal servant of the colony. While being a polite and considerate, the Dalek secretly activates a factory for constructing more Daleks. Eventually the Daleks rise up and kill everyone.
